Terrific enhancements are coming to the North Carolina 401(k) and Deferred Compensation Plans

Here's what's happening.
The NC Deferred Compensation (457) Plan is moving to Prudential Retirement^®. Plus, the State has renewed its contract with Prudential Retirement for the NC 401(k) Plan.

Great new features for Plan members!
NC 401(k) Plan members will get:
•  A refreshed lineup of investment options
•  Reduced plan costs

NC Deferred Compensation Plan members will get access to all the retirement planning tools offered by Prudential, including:
•  An easy, automatic, and voluntary asset allocation program
•  One-on-one local support from dedicated Education & Enrollment Managers
•  An online Retirement Calculator that updates every time you log onto your account

Huge cost savings for Plan members!
According to North Carolina State Treasurer Richard H. Moore, because of this move, “… we [are] reducing plan recordkeeping costs and changing the investment lineup to offer significantly less expensive investment options...” That translates into more savings for plan members.

For example, a member could save $101 in plan-related costs over the course of a year. And if that member invested that money for 10 years, the result could amount to $1,047! If the member invested for 20 years the cost savings could be $199 a year, for a total savings of $4,118.*
