Our History

1875:

Prudential Friendly Society was established and began managing proprietary fixed income assets.

1928:

Began managing fixed income assets for external, institutional clients.

1984:

Prudential Investment Management, Inc. (PIM) was registered as an investment advisor with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Prudential Fixed Income is the primary public fixed income asset management business of PIM.

1999:

Pramerica Investment Management Limited (PIML), an affiliated office, was established in London.

2000:

Pramerica Fixed Income (Asia) Limited (PFIA), an affiliated office, was established in Singapore.

2011:

Prudential Fixed Income manages investment portfolios for more than 326 clients, with more than $400 billion in assets under management. (As of March 31, 2013)
