Temporary factors may have dislocated U.S. economic growth in the first quarter, but we see the economy back on track to sustained expansion in the months ahead. The expectations are more mixed in Latin America. We anticipate Brazil to be in recession for the rest of the year, and Mexico to improve later this year.
The current global economy is characterized by improving underlying growth prospects and a supportive policy environment. Capital flows to real estate are increasing and investors are broadening their horizons in search of higher returns as property yields begin to test record lows.
