Donegal

Letterkenny might surprise you! The largest town in Donegal, home to a thriving student population (and approx. 100 PGIM Ireland employees!), it boasts all the amenities of a big town. Theatre, cultural centre, cinema, leisure centre, tennis club – these and many more are among the facilities you can enjoy while living here.

Perhaps more importantly, Letterkenny is the ideal staging point for excursions around Donegal, Ireland’s wildest and most beautiful corner. The nearest beach is a mere 20 minutes away. A further 15 minutes brings you to the 2nd best beach in the world! Mountains abound in this region, making it an ideal location for hiking. In the southwest of the county, we have the highest sea cliffs in Europe, while just an hour away is Bundoran, home to world-famous surf. There is also a thriving music and amateur drama scene, with two musical societies, an opera company, and many choirs of different types making use of the excellent facilities Letterkenny offers.

Pension

PGIM Ireland’s defined contribution pension plan is designed to help employees build their income for the future.

Health Insurance

PGIM Ireland’s health insurance schemes provide medical insurance cover for eligible employees with the aim of ensuring employees day to day medical expenses and hospital expenses are covered.

Share Purchase Scheme

The purpose of a Share Participation Scheme is to allow employees to acquire shares in Prudential in a tax efficient manner. This is done by giving employees the option to take part of the Company’s bonus in shares.

Shop LK Vouchers

Over the last few years, we were able to identify an opportunity to award employees (who qualify for a bonus) with Shop LK vouchers, which are paid tax free.

Life Assurance

Life Assurance is fully paid by PGIM Ireland. Employees are covered from their start date and beneficiaries are provided with a lump sum of four times salary.

Annual Leave

PGIM Ireland offer a generous level of annual leave, which increases over time.

Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

EAP provides support to employees and their immediate families in a number of areas, including legal and financial issues, child/elder care and consumer rights. The programme also offers up to 5 sessions of face to face counseling with a local counselor. This programme is provided free of charge to employees and their immediate families.

Life Coaching

PGIM Ireland employees are eligible to use the Prudential Life Coaching programme free of charge. This programme can provide employees with the assistance of a Life Coach to support and guide them to make positive changes in their life.

Eye Testing

As part of our on-going commitment to safe working PGIM Ireland provides reimbursement of fees incurred by employees as outlined in the eye testing policy.

Onsite Wellness Events

A number of health screening programmes are offered to employees, including cardiac and diabetes screening. Other consultations, such as sports injury assessments, are available to employees on an ad hoc basis.

Partnering with Schools

PGIM Ireland employees have taken part in the World at Work Programme and the Student Mentoring program operated under the Schools’ Business Partnership and the Student Mentoring programmes, facilitated by Business in the Community Ireland (BITC). This is an excellent opportunity for staff to get involved in supporting senior cycle students through their final two years at school. PGIM Ireland have established an excellent partnership with St Columba’s School. Stranorlar. Not only do the programmes benefit the students, but they also give volunteers the chance to develop their leadership, team-building, interpersonal and communication skills.
