You may also choose to have your IRS refund deposited into your Pruco COMMANDSM Account by following the instructions below:

  • On line 68b, enter the routing number found on the bottom left corner of your Pruco COMMAND checks. The routing number is 044000804.

  • On line 68c, the Form 1040 lists only two options, Checking or Savings. To have the money invested into your non-retirement Pruco COMMAND Account, mark the box for "Checking".

  • On line 68d, you will need to enter your account number. There is space for an account number of up to 17 characters; however, your Pruco COMMAND Account number is only 10 to 13 digits long. Just leave the remaining spaces blank. Your Pruco COMMAND Account number appears on the bottom center portion of your COMMAND checks and the first three digits are always 435.

Note: This service is not available for Pruco Investor clients or retirement accounts.

Please double-check your tax return to make sure you have completed all required information. It is your responsibility to complete the direct deposit information correctly on your tax return. Prudential mutual funds will not be liable if the IRS does not deposit your refund in accordance with your wishes.

If there is a discrepancy, the IRS will not make the deposit. Instead, it will mail a check to the address shown on the front of your 1040 Form.
