Profile Portfolios
Prudential Profile Portfolios are constructed and managed by investment professionals to provide an appropriate asset allocation in line with four distinct investor profiles.

Aggressive Growth Growth Balanced Conservative

All you need to do is answer a brief series of questions, with the help of your financial professional, and a predetermined allocation will be recommended for you. With a single decision, you can feel confident that you've charted a responsible course for your financial future.

The Importance of Asset Allocation
Independent research has shown that asset allocation is the major factor determining portfolio performance3. We recommend that you develop your asset allocation with the assistance of a licensed financial professional, who is trained to help you define financial goals and evaluate your risk tolerance. Then he or she can help you to select investment options with the potential to achieve your goals.

Minimum Investment Amount
After an initial investment of $10,000 or more, you decide how much and how often to add to your annuity, subject to a $1000 minimum.

Dollar Cost Averaging
Not sure that this is the right time to invest? Ease your way into the market by making transfers from the money market option to one or more of the other variable options. This strategy may help to smooth out the highs and lows of investing, but it does not ensure a profit or protect against a loss in a declining market. This plan involves continuous investment. You should consider your financial ability to continue purchases through periods of low price levels. Refer to the prospectus for greater detail.

Accessing Your Money2
With Strategic Partners Advisor you enjoy easy access2 to your funds if you need cash, whether it's an occasional lump sum or part of an automatic withdrawal program. You may make withdrawals at any time without paying a withdrawal charge, and the balance remains invested in your portfolio to keep working for you

Flexible Payout Options
If you need guaranteed income during retirement, you can choose from a variety of payout options, including lifetime payments--an income you can't outlive, which is otherwise available only from Social Security or pension plans. Other payout options include payments for a designated period (e.g., 20 years); payments based on the lives of another person and you; or a lump sum payment for the value of your contract.

Death Benefit Options
Strategic Partners Advisor offers a choice of two death benefit options:

  • The Basic Death Benefit provides a requisite level of protection--your beneficiaries will not receive less than the amount of your initial purchase payments (less withdrawals); or
  • For a higher fee, the Enhanced Death Benefit4 locks in your annuity's investment gains in a rising market and protects your principal against losses due to market downturns.
