Too many choices?
Keep it simple by choosing one of our professionally managed Profile
Portfolios, which provides an appropriate asset allocation
in line with four distinct investor profiles. |
Your annuity can get off to a faster start with a bonus credit that adds 4% to purchase payments under $25,000, 5% to purchase payments of $250,000 to $999,999, and 6% to payments of $1,000,000 or more 3 For long-term investors, the power of tax-deferred compounding can help turn bonus payments into an attractive sum over time. It is important to remember that bonus contracts have higher fees and withdrawals charges. Please consult with your financial professional to determine if this option is right for you.
Would you like to lock in a guaranteed retirement income that you cannot outlive? With GMIB the contract value used to determine your future income will not be affected by your annuity's investment performance. This protects your future financial security from a down market when you're about to retire.4
GMIB also offers the potential for even greater financial security. During the accumulation phase of your contract, you have two opportunities to tap into rising markets and lock in investment gains as of that date.
Annuity One's innovative Income Appreciator Benefit (IAB) can increase the potential long-term earnings of your annuity from 15% to 25%.7 You can use this extra money to offset taxes or any other way you wish. If you're seeking maximum growth, you can reinvest this money into the contract for even greater potential returns.
With some other types of investments, a down market at the time of your death could affect the assets you pass to beneficiaries. But with Annuity One, you can safeguard your annuity contract's value from investment losses for the benefit of your loved ones. You have a choice of a basic death benefit or one of three enhanced death benefits.6
You can do more to help your beneficiaries offset some expenses or taxes with the Earnings Appreciator Benefit (EAB). It pays a supplemental death benefit based on your contract's earnings, if any, and your age at application. EAB is available for an additional fee.
Give your spouse additional protection with an option to continue your contract in the event of your death. For instance, if your husband is your sole beneficiary (or the joint owner of your annuity), he can continue the contract in his name after your death, with the contract value equal to the amount that would otherwise have been paid as a death benefit. For more information about this benefit, please refer to the Client Guide or prospectus.
A long-term asset allocation strategy is a key component of retirement planning. Strategic Partners offers a choice of four Profile Portfolios to help you choose an appropriate strategy and simplify your investment decisions.
Each Portfolio is a predetermined asset allocation that corresponds to a distinct type of investor personality: Conservative, Balanced, Growth, or Aggressive Growth. Your financial professional can provide you with a brief questionnaire to help determine which Portfolio may be appropriate for you.
Concerned about finding "the right time" to invest? Research shows it's time in the market-not timing the market-that makes a difference in your returns. You can ease your way into the market by making regular transfers from the annuity's fixed rate account into the variable options; this may decrease the impact of market volatility on your investment.2
